Dear Scholars of Saint Augustine’s University,
It’s my honor to welcome you to Saint Augustine’s University. As sons and daughters of Saint Augustine’s University you’ve committed yourself to an academic matriculation experience designed to prepare you for lifelong leadership. In preparation for your new academic journey, I strongly encourage you to draw strength from the words of The Honorable Nelson Mandela. President Mandela stated, ” Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Saint Augustine’s University (SAU) was established in 1867 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Our historic institution sits on 105 acres and is a four-year Liberal Arts University. We offer 24 undergraduate degree programs and are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Commission on Colleges.
The 2016-2018 SAU Catalog will be a valuable tool for you to plan this next step in your academic career. This resource guide outlines programs and policies that will help you achieve your academic, and ultimately, your career goals. As you matriculate over the next four years, you will encounter a “village” of family and friends who will motivate you to reach your maximum potential.
Our mission is to provide a healthy learning environment where students are prepared to excel academically, socially, and spiritually in order to be equipped for leadership roles in a complex, diverse, and dynamically changing world.
Again, Welcome to Saint Augustine’s University where you will “Transform, Excel, and Lead.”
In the interest of Saint Augustine’s University, I remain,
Everett B. Ward, Ph.D.,’82
