SOC 200 - Social Change Analysis of evolutionary and revolutionary social change from the perspective of critical sociology. Topics include the types of groups that mobilize for change, recruitment of new members, ideologies of groups, and leadership styles. Particular U.S. social change movements examined include labor, civil rights, anti-war, welfare rights, women’s movement, and the new right. Prerequisites: SOC 132 . (3)
