PHS 340 - Epidemiology & Biostatistics
Involves the study of the occurrence of disease and seeks to assess factors relating to the individual, his environment and lifestyle with the aim of establishing the causes of disease. Epidemiological data are evaluated using biostatistical techniques. This evaluation seeks to address accuracy, precision, systematic error, influences of other factors as well as the interaction of risk factors on the validity of the epidemiological study. Prerequisite: MATH 131 , PHS 101. (4)
