EDUCA 330 - Child Development


This course is designed to cover the developmental milestones of child development from prenatal through the lower boundary of adolescence. The course addresses physical, social-emotional and cognitive development of children in grades K-5. The course affords students the opportunity to research and analyze the impact of social, family and economic factors that may inhibit ‘normal’ development. Particular attention is given to the impact of these variables on a child’s educational performance. Prerequisites: PSYCH 132 - Introduction to Psychology ; admission to Teacher Preparation Program.
