SOC 261 - Introduction to Gender Studies


Explores the changing conceptions of sex roles, both female and male, in contemporary society. The course is designed to explore a variety of topics such as gender stratification, work and sexual identities, media representations of women and men, women’s roles and violence against women. Feminist theories and methods are also explored. Prerequisites: SOC 132 . (3) T1 ID
